This week, representatives from the Danish Energy Team in China accompanied Danish companies on a visit to Nantong to explore opportunities in the country’s green maritime sector. The delegation included Hempel A/S, Hoyer and Baettr, who joined a programme focusing on green developments in shipbuilding and maritime engineering. They also attended the opening of the 2025 National Advanced Manufacturing Cluster for High-Tech Ships and Maritime Engineering Equipment fair in Nantong, where Danish company Nilfisk presented its solutions. China, the world’s largest shipbuilding nation, is increasingly moving towards LNG-, ammonia- and methanol-ready vessels. Exchanges like the Nantong visit underline the role of knowledge sharing in advancing greener shipping technologies.
