Like last time, half the Council will likely be new, so experience really does count. Our city needs a Mayor who will put Wellingtonians first, not one who looks to Labour for the answers or offers uncosted plans. He speaks well, has a business background, and talks about making Wellington a “yes city”, but he has no experience of dealing with “Yes Minister”. But I’ve also learned and grown through that experience with a bigger toolkit to lead the reset. I bring independence, experience, the ability to deliver, and yes, a few battle scars to drive real change.
