The officers realized the baby was about to arrive and they helped the woman deliver it, police said. Finnegan caught the baby as it was delivered, according to Lisa Costello of Monmouth Beach EMS. Golembieski for their quick thinking, calm professionalism, and compassionate actions,” Monmouth Beach Police Chief Daniel McManus said in a statement.
