‌Waqar Ahmed has praised other pupils for reporting the attack when his son was too frightened to do so, calling them 'heroes'. His son was apparently 'strangled, threatened and egged on by others who laughed' during the unprovoked attack one lunchtime last week at his high school. Other pupils had reported it to the school, which told the family it had instigated sanctions as a result. The same school also has fantastic role model kids that reported the incident when my son was too afraid to do so. In a statement released today (Monday, September 29), Birmingham United Against Racism urged politicians, community organisations and residents to reject division.
