The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reported significant progress in its ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise. On Monda, the update revealed that out of the 6,232,673 online registrants, 52.15 percent were female, while 47.85 percent were male. At the end of week five, 537,743 online registrants and 466,389 in-person registrants had completed their physical registration. INEC emphasized that the figures reflect a strong commitment by Nigerians to participate in democratic processes. “We encourage citizens yet to register to take advantage of both online and physical registration options to ensure their voices are heard in future elections,” the statement added.
