Man accused of threatening to blow up Wisconsin capitol building arrested

MADISON, Wis. – A man is in custody after allegedly threatening to blow up the Wisconsin capitol building.
The alleged incident happened the night of September 22, when a Madison police report indicates a man called 9-1-1 around 8:41pm and threatened to blow up the building.
When Police arrived near University Avenue and Breese Terrace, he continued to state he wanted to blow up the building, according to the report, and was then arrested for making terrorist threats and a parole violation.
11 Democratic legislators from Wisconsin were included in a manifesto written by the suspected gunman in Hortman’s death.
