The movie is an adaptation of Nicholas Pileggi’s 1985 book Wiseguy and remains not only one of the best gangster movies of all time, and one that ranks alongside the likes of The Godfather, but also one of the best movies ever.
Goodfellas, “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes with a 93% critics’ score, remains a masterpiece and a benchmark for the crime genre.
