The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Hon. The reelection took place on Monday during the Oyo State PDP Congress held at the basketball area of the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan. AdvertisementSpeaking earlier at the event, Governor Seyi Makinde expressed confidence that the PDP would retain power in Oyo State beyond 2027 and reclaim the presidency in the next general election. Makinde charged the newly elected party executives to work hard to ensure the PDP’s victory in all elections, from councillorship to the presidential level. Other officials elected alongside Ogungbenro included Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke as deputy state chairman, Oyelami Oyeyemi as state secretary, Olawumi Elizabeth Toyin as women leader, and Bello Kazeem Olalekan as youth leader.
