Morocco’s Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan on Monday opened the 16th El Jadida Horse Show at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Park, where the event will run until October 5 under the theme “The well-being of the horse, a link between equestrian practices.”The Crown Prince toured exhibition villages dedicated to breeders, artisans, cultural heritage, and regional showcases before attending equestrian performances and tbourida ( Fantasia) shows staged by 18 Sorbas (Tbourida riders) representing Morocco’s regions. The annual horse show has grown into a leading platform for dialogue among equestrian actors while promoting Morocco’s cultural and equine heritage. This year’s program includes the Barbe Horse Championship, the Arab-Barbe Championship, the Moroccan Breeders’ Cup for Arabian Horses, the King Mohammed VI Grand Prize for Show Jumping, and the King Mohammed VI Grand Prize for Tbourida. For the first time, the event will include an international Arabian horse show competition, recognized by leading equestrian organizations. In addition to competitions, the show will host conferences, workshops, and children’s activities, reinforcing its cultural and scientific dimension.
