The Cape Girardeau Police Department arrested a man on Thursday, Sept. 25, for driving while intoxicated with three children in the vehicle. Derek Graham, 44, of Cape Girardeau is being held at the Cape Girardeau County jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond. According to a probable-cause statement, Graham was driving while intoxicated with three children in the backseat of the vehicle Wednesday, Sept. 24. He admitted to authorities that he consumed alcohol before driving and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and South Sprigg Street, the probable cause states. Graham failed to secure two small children in the vehicle.
