Uptown Jackson Oktoberfest will be back for its 11th year with brats, beer and all things German this weekend, Friday, Oct.3, and Saturday, Oct. 4. Oktoberfest will have some family-friendly activities at its kid zone, including bounce houses, face painting and pumpkin painting. The weekend will end with live music from the John D. Hale Band and Chris Welch from 6 to 10 p.m. According to the event's website, Uptown Jackson is expecting 20,000 attendees this year. Uptown Jackson Oktoberfest says attendees should bring their ID to receive a wristband to enjoy beer; cash and credit cards are accepted; and all beer must be purchased with tokens.
