One Scots area to see ‘bright 19C’ weather ahead of 3-day yellow rain warningMuch of the west is to see three days of heavy downpours this week. The Met Office has issued a yellow rain warning of up to 10 inches of rain for widespread western areas starting on Wednesday. ‌The 'danger to life' rain warning covers eight Scottish areas, stretching from Argyll and Bute all the way up to the Highlands, from 5pm on October 1 to 6am on October 3. ‌The Met Office's warning states: "Rain is expected to be persistent across western Scotland lasting from Tuesday through to Thursday night allowing large rainfall totals to build up. "The heaviest rain will be over hills and mountains although with pulses of heavier rain extending more widely at times, during Thursday in particular.
