'Jealous' dad cries in court as judge tells him 'your son died because of you'As paramedics fought to save the child’s life, Mehmet Tufan tried to claim the baby was unresponsive because a hair was stuck in his throat after he shook the five-week-old causing serious brain damage. ‌Today saw Tufan weeping in the dock at Liverpool Crown Court as he was jailed for killing his own son more than seven years on from the harrowing incident. At around 12.45am, Tufan went on to send a further text in which he claimed to have pulled a hair from within the baby's throat.
