An editor who was hailed as a podcasting ‘hero’ a few months ago is among those set to lose their jobs amid large scale redundancies at Reach plc. Among the first to go public with the news thatb their jobs was at risk was Daniel McLaughlin, whose role as podcast editor is set to go. The move comes months after Daniel was named Publisher Podcast Hero of the Year at the Publisher Podcast Awards. The Reach restructure will include the creation of a new Live News Network, with reporters spread out across the UK and will mean 186 fewer editorial posts overall.
