An independent publisher has vowed not to “flood” readers after launching a new WhatsApp service. Tindle Newspapers has launched WhatsApp communities where readers can receive breaking news, live updates and the day’s most important stories sent straight to their phone, desktop, or tablet. But Tindle group editorial director Emily Woolfe, pictured, has pledged not to inundate readers who sign up to the service with irrelevant news from off-patch. She said: “We are delighted to ensure readers stay connected with their local news by joining our WhatsApp communities. “As a trusted local publisher we respect our readers’ time and attention, so they will only hear from us when there is genuinely important news happening in our area.
