SALT LAKE CITY — The funeral for President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be held at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 12 p.m. MDT. The public can pay their respects the day before on Monday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.A special television broadcast, ‘A Tribute to Russell M. During his time as president of the church, President Nelson emphasized building new temples, calling for peace and utilizing the proper name of the church. President Nelson is survived by his second wife, Wendy Watson Nelson, eight of his ten children he had with his late wife, Dantzel White Nelson, 57 grandchildren, 168 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
