SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food has issued a health alert after a Utahn died of listeria. The listeria was linked to ready-to-eat pasta meals sold at Walmart and Trader Joe’s. In a press release, the UDAF said these ready-to-eat pasta meals may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. It said the actual number of illnesses may be higher, “as many cases may go unreported.”The UDAF encourages consumers to check their refrigerators for and dispose of the following products:Walmart: 12 ounces Marketside Linguine with Beef Meatballs & Marinara Sauce with “best by” dates Sept. 22, 2025, Sept. 24, 2025, Sept. 29, 2025, Sept. 30, 2025 and Oct. 1, 2025. The UDAF said anyone who is experiencing symptoms within two months of eating contaminated food to contact a doctor and tell them about the recalled food.
