MADISON, Wis. (WSAW) - Tuesday morning, people from Marathon County and other child advocates plan to urge legislators to better define what cases of child abuse and neglect qualify for public reporting under Act 78. Specifically, Christy Keele, the executive director of Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Marathon County, said they are hoping legislators will better define what “egregious” means. “At this current time, there aren’t really any sexual abuse cases that are ever coming forward,” Keele stated. She clarified that specific case did not happen in Marathon County.
