An editor has announced her departure from a Newsquest-owned regional title with a warning about the use of AI. Somerset Life’s Rachel Mead has become the second editor in the publication’s ‘Life’ stable to leave the business this month, following Candia McKormack’s resignation from Cotswold Life. She wrote last week: “I’ve said goodbye to Somerset Life. “I am proud to be leaving Somerset Life in a strong position – it is one of the best performing Life titles in the portfolio. By working collaboratively with all depts, Somerset Life was top of the Life title portfolio for successive months.
