BRADFORD, Vt. (WCAX) – Police are investigating a string of recent gas thefts at a Bradford auto body shop. Gene Pierson gets under a truck that was recently damaged in the parking lot of Route 5 Auto. “We kept smelling gas,” Pierson said. “We obviously see the hole in the bottom, figured somebody was stealing gas,” Pierson said. Dealership employees say at least eight vehicles have been targeted in the past year, both new trucks and vehicles in for service.
