Just Eat Takeaway.com is partnering with Swiss robotics company RIVR to pilot the doorstep delivery of food products via autonomous ground robots. The RIVR ground robot is designed for seamless and efficient deliveries, distinguishing itself from other ground robots by combining wheels, for efficient travel, and legs, for climbing stairs and kerbs. Functioning with Physical AI, the robot understands every space, avoiding obstacles like rubbish cans or grass and safely moving around pedestrians, vehicles and cyclists.
