The doors have opened this week at 1824 at Clancy’s, a new gastropub/restaurant in Cork. The restaurant features a mix of intimate booths and open tables, while a private dining area also offers a setting for events and special occasions. The menu at 1824 aims to celebrate the best of seasonal Irish produce, balancing ‘tradition with a contemporary twist’. Supporting the launch of 1824 is head of operations Shane Spillane, a well-known West Cork restaurateur with experience in developing and running successful hospitality concepts. “Eighteen twenty-four [1824] at Clancy’s is about creating a food experience that feels accessible but special,” said Montgomery.
