The Irish Independent has reported that last year, revenue at the hospitality group that operates Dublin’s Temple Bar pub increased by 8%, or €2.55 million, to €33.12 million. Despite the increase in revenue, last year, pre-tax profits at the Hillbreak group declined by 21%, to €6.56 million. According to the Irish Independent, the chief factor in the profit decline was a €1.5 million gain in the value of investment property in 2023, not reoccurring last year. The pub gained wide media coverage during the year, when it was found to be serving pints of Heineken for €11.45 each. The Temple Bar pub claims to offer Ireland’s largest whiskey collection.
