Plans submitted for 'much needed' 98-home housing development in city

Genesis Homes has submitted a planning application to deliver 98 homes at Rockcliffe View, a new residential development proposed on land off Crindledyke Lane in Kingstown.
This scheme includes 30 per cent of 'affordable' homes, supporting families and individuals seeking accessible homes in the area.
Rockcliffe View will showcase several brand-new house types from the developer, it said, while including a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom houses and bungalows.
At the heart of the plans is a new community engagement programme including:Public open space and green infrastructure, with more than 1.2 hectares of open space incorporated into the scheme.
John Blue, land director at Genesis Homes, said: “We are delighted to be bringing forward plans for Rockcliffe View, a carefully considered development that will provide much-needed new homes for Carlisle.
