At long last, nearly two and a half years after the show was first announced, Crystal Lake is truly, finally underway. Hailing from A24 and set to stream on Peacock, this is the first new Friday the 13th media we’ve had in a long, long time so this is a big deal. However, showrunner Brad Caleb Kane has confirmed via an Instagram post that pre-production is underway, with the production’s offices now open. Given that we haven’t seen Jason Voorhees on the silver screen since the 2009 remake, this was all very exciting. With pre-production now underway, one imagines that we’ll be hearing a lot more about the cast sooner rather than later.
