Seneca County residents and businesses are invited to drop off leftover paint — and maybe pick some up — at a free community event on Saturday, October 11. PaintCare, a national nonprofit that helps people recycle paint, is hosting the event from 8 a.m. to noon at the Northeast College of Health Sciences in Seneca Falls. The group will accept old paint, stain, varnish, and sealers from both households and qualifying businesses. In return, attendees can browse leftover paint available for reuse through PaintCare’s PaintShare™ giveaway — while supplies last. “We encourage area residents and businesses to clean out those garages, basements, and storage areas and join us,” said Andrew Radin, PaintCare’s New York Program Manager.
