Firefighters in Oaks Corners responded to two serious crashes this weekend — one involving a medevac helicopter and the other a head-on collision that snarled traffic. Members from the Oaks Corners Fire Department, Phelps Ambulance, and North Seneca Ambulance responded. Sixteen Oaks Corners members responded, led by Chief Zach Rey. All four people were trapped and had to be pulled from the vehicles by the Oaks Corners Fire Department. One passenger suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted by Mercy Flight Central to Strong Memorial Hospital.
