NEW YORK, 26th September, 2025…Antigua and Barbuda has formalized a Visa Waiver agreement with the United Arab Emirates, paving the way for expanded business and investment opportunities between the twin island nation and the oil rich federation. The agreement to remove the travel conditions was signed by Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs the Hon. The government of Antigua and Barbuda sees the UAE as a bona fide investment and sustainable development partner. Through the US$50 million UAE-Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund (UAE-CREF), Antigua and Barbuda is benefitting from the largest renewable energy investment in the Caribbean. Minister Greene called the signing a major step in the diplomatic relations between Antigua and Barbuda and the UAE.
