County unemployment down in August, up compared to 2024

Texas County’s unemployment rate was down in August compared to July, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.
In August, the rate was 5.3%.
That is down compared to the 5.5% rate in July.
According to the department, the county’s total labor force was 9,642 and employed was 9,134.
