Accra Technical University (ATU) will, for the first time, host the Ghana Universities Debate Championship (GUDC) when the country’s largest tertiary debate competition takes place in Accra from October 6 –11, 2025. According to the Local Organising Committee (LOC), preparations are well advanced to ensure ATU delivers a memorable debut as host. Hosting GUDC 2025 affirms our institution’s commitment to grooming leaders and thinkers who can contribute meaningfully to society. "We want every participant to leave here with not only competitive memories but also life-shaping experiences.”Echoing that sentiment, Convener of GUDC 2025, Mr Michael Koranteng, described the championship as more than an intellectual contest. Beyond the debate rounds, GUDC 2025 will feature training workshops, social events, and networking sessions, offering participants a well-rounded experience.
