It is as a design team is appointed to see the project through to completion.
They lead the design development of the Women and Children’s Hospital, along with a new microbiology building to bring together pathology services at the centre of the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske in Truro.
"The new Women and Children’s Hospital represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create a truly integrated family-centred healthcare facility for the region."
The project is part of the Government’s New Hospital Programme and follows a decision to relocate the hospital to a more accessible location within the Truro site.
Morag Stuart, chief programme officer for the New Hospital Programme, said: "The appointment of this experienced and highly skilled design team marks an important step forward for the New Hospital Programme in Cornwall."
