The gunman suspected of opening fire at a riverside bar in Southport, North Carolina, on Saturday has been arrested and is facing charges.
Officials identified Nigel Edge, a 40-year-old North Carolina resident, as the suspected gunman.
Edge is facing three counts of first-degree murder, five counts of attempted first-degree murder, and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Jon David, district attorney of Bladen, Brunswick, and Columbus counties in North Carolina, said he may face additional charges.
Authorities identified his weapon as an assault rifle.
