The Assam Congress has trained its guns on Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in singer Zubeen Garg death case in Singapore.
Assam Congress President Gaurav Gogoi implied that the CM was trying to shield the two prime suspects in the case due to their purported “proximity to the BJP”.
Zubeen Garg died on September 19 in Singapore, where he was to perform at the North East India Festival.
There have been no revelation of foul play in the two autopsies of Garg — one in Singapore and the other in Assam.
However, there have been allegations from several quarters that multiple people, including Zubeen Garg’s manager Sidhartha Sharma and the organiser of the festival Shyamkanu Mahanta.
