A boozed-up lout who forced a plane to turn back after he proposed to an air stewardess and verbally abused passengers has been jailed. But when he boarded the flight, the father-of-two started behaving erratically and asked senior stewardess Brooke Crossley to marry him as he stumbled onto the plane. Leeds Crown Court heard how Taylor, of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, was among 148 people on board which contained elderly passengers and children. The court heard evidence of how the airline had to provide a second flight and crew for the Alicante flight, which was delayed by 2hours 24 minutes. Judge Belcher jailed Taylor for ten months and ordered him to pay a £187 surcharge.
