SEC Network host Paul Finebaum said he’s “considering” leaving ESPN to run for U.S. Senate on the republican ticket. Finebaum told Outkick’s Clay Travis that the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk contributes to his interest in getting involved in politics. “It’s hard to describe, not being involved in politics, how that affected me and affected tens of millions of people all over this country. “I gave some thought to it as the [after Kirk’s murder] weekend unfolded and got a little bit more interested.”Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville is considering a run for governor, which potentially opens up a Senate seat. He had previously lived in Charlotte, North Carolina — where the SEC Network headquarters are located — since 2013.
