Police in Gqeberha are searching for a suspect who opened fire on a police patrol in Missionvale on Sunday night. Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli said a Constable sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Nkohli said after wounding the police officer, the suspect fled the scene and remains at large. “Anyone with any information that could assist the investigating team is urged to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Errol Kleinhans on 083 243 4567,” Nkohli said. “An attack on the police is an attack on the state, and we will not rest until the perpetrator is apprehended”, Kupiso said.
