Port of WorkingtonThe Port of Workington has been shortlisted in two categories in prestigious maritime industry awards. The Cumbrian port is the only one to figure twice in the nominees listed in the 2025 British Ports Association Annual Awards. Workington is shortlisted in the port development award category which recognises planning, design, construction, and execution of a development or project. As well as Workington, Solent Gateway, Port of Dover, Millbay Docks Plymouth, Ardersier Port and Shoreham Port are among those vying for the title. The port is also in contention for the small and medium sized port award, which recognises excellence in an area of port management alongside Harwich and Falmouth.
