Big wheels are turning as a 10-foot statue of rock ‘n’ roll queen Tina Turner was unveiled in Brownsville, Tennessee, where she grew up, during a ceremony that was held at a park near her childhood school.
The unveiling was part of the annual Tina Turner Heritage Days celebration, with the statue standing near a museum honoring her at the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center.
The statue captures Turner’s iconic stage presence, featuring her signature wild hairdo and microphone pose.
Turner, known for hit songs like “Proud Mary” and “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” passed away in 2023 at age 83.
