Georgian College has announced it will consolidate its Orillia and Muskoka campuses into the Barrie Campus by fall 2026. The Orillia campus will close in summer 2026, with programs beginning to transition in May, while the Muskoka campus will close in August. The consolidation is expected to save Georgian about $23.5 million over the next five years, with the sale of the Orillia and Muskoka campuses and residences further strengthening its financial position. Georgian continues to review its campus network, including future opportunities for South Georgian Bay, while building on its Midland, Orangeville, and Owen Sound campuses. Weaver emphasized that the change will allow the college to remain the region’s top choice for preparing students with career-ready skills.
