Feb. 6, 1928 – Sept. 27, 2025Dorothy Elizabeth Melchior passed away at Door County Medical Center’s Pete and Jelaine Horton Skilled Nursing Center on Sept. 27, 2025. Dorothy was united in marriage to Robert J. Melchior of Algoma on June 27, 1951, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Maplewood. Dorothy will be laid to rest in the St. Mary’s Maplewood Catholic Church cemetery beside her husband Bob. The family would like to thank the Pete and Jelaine Horton staff for their care and kindness shown to Dorothy and also Unity Hospice for their thoughtfulness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Pete and Jelaine Horton Skilled Nursing Center.
