“Superman” flew to 13 million views in its first 10 days on HBO Max, marking the platform’s biggest 10-day audience for a movie debut since “Barbie” began streaming in 2023.
Directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet as the titular hero, the DC Studios film was released in theaters in July.
It was a box office success, grossing more than $600 million on its $225 million budget.
Discovery, other titles related to the Superman character also saw a spike in viewership after the movie began streaming.
“Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story” saw a 670% increase in streaming compared to the week before, while “Superman: The Movie” jumped by 155%, “Superman Returns” jumped 120% and “Man of Steel” jumped 40%.
