An Jin, former chairman of Chinese automaker Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), has been put under review and investigation on suspicion of serious disciplinary violations.
The provincial committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, China’s anti-graft watchdog, revealed the information on Tuesday, without sharing further details.
Both VW and NIO said the probe will have no impact on their collaborations with JAC or their operations.
JAC is also partnering with Huawei with plans to roll out their first joint model, a luxury multi-purpose vehicle, later this year.
