In September, two new Chinese mobile games – Archosaur Games’ Dragon Raja: The Gate of Cassell and LINGXIGAMES’ Ashes of the Kingdom – surpassed RMB 100 million in revenue, according to gaming media outlet GameLook.
Within 19 days of its launch in September, Dragon Raja: The Gate of Cassell secured RMB 160 million ($22.6 million) in revenue, while Ashes of the Kingdom reached RMB 100 million ($14.1 million) just five days after its launch in the Chinese market.
Based on Dragon Raja, a series of fantasy novels written by Chinese author Jiang Nan, The Gate of Cassell is a card-based role-playing strategic game.
Targeted at female players, Ashes of the Kingdom is a card-based narrative game with a female-centered storyline, rich Eastern aesthetics, and a host of handsome ancient male characters.
