Global e-commerce company eBay recently announced a new partnership with Antom, a subsidiary of Ant Group, to integrate Alipay as a payment option on its platform.
Alipay’s integration into eBay will allow Chinese buyers to use the digital wallet to purchase products on http://eBay.comeBay.com> and the eBay app.
As one of China’s most popular digital payment methods, Alipay is expected to enhance the cross-border shopping experience for Chinese customers on eBay’s platform, just in time for the Double 11 shopping festival.
Antom says it provides local acquisition services in over 40 markets, supporting diverse payment methods and instant multi-currency settlements.
eBay is one of the world’s biggest e-commerce platforms, with millions of buyers and sellers across 190 markets.
