At the 2025 CCTV Spring Festival Gala last night, renowned film director Zhang Yimou collaborated with Hangzhou Unitree Robotics and Xinjiang Arts Institute to present a program titled Yang BOT.
More than a dozen humanoid robots, dressed in traditional Yangge costumes and holding red handkerchiefs, took the stage and performed in perfect sync with the dancers.
On stage, the humanoid robot wears a floral vest, performs the Yangko dance, and can even spin the handkerchief.
Launched in August 2023, Unitree Robotics’ H1’s secret weapon during its performance is AI-driven full-body motion control technology.
