China’s electric vehicles are approximately three to five years ahead of their competitors in terms of products, technology, and the industrial chain, BYD CEO Wang Chuanfu said Monday in an interview with Chinese state broadcaster CCTV.
Wang added that open-mindedness and technological innovation are the only ways to bring good products to other regions and accelerate China’s pursuit of joint development with the rest of the world.
His comments came immediately after he attended a symposium in Beijing on Monday, chaired by Chinese President Xi Jinping, along with other major figures in Chinese industry, including Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma and CATL Chairman Robin Zeng.
