Alibaba is reportedly working on AI-powered smart glasses, with development led by its Tmall Genie team and a launch planned for late 2025, according to Chinese outlet Wellsenn XR.
The device will feature a dual-chip setup with Qualcomm’s AR1 and BES2800, aiming for better battery life.
Two versions are in the works: one without a display, and an AI+AR version using a green Micro LED and diffraction waveguide optics.
The glasses will integrate with Alibaba’s Quark app, powered by the Tongyi large model, supporting functions like smart search, task execution, and dialogue.
