NVIDIA reportedly to launch cut-down H20 chip for China as early as July: report

According to the South China Morning Post, NVIDIA plans to launch a new China-specific AI chip in July in response to increasingly stringent US export controls.
This upcoming model is confirmed to be a scaled-down version of the previously developed H20 chip.
In April, the Trump administration imposed further restrictions on NVIDIA, requiring a license to export the H20 chip to China.
As the H20 was specifically designed for the Chinese market, NVIDIA had stockpiled significant inventory and secured substantial production capacity.
