At the 2025 Computex Taipei, MediaTek CEO Rick Tsai on Tuesday announced the company’s first 2nm chip, which is expected to tape out this September. Tape-out is the process of converting a finalized integrated circuit (IC) design into a physical chip layout, similar to a production line, involving a series of manufacturing steps.
