GAC Toyota, a joint venture between Toyota and its Chinese partner GAC, announced that it has collaborated with Huawei and Xiaomi to integrate their technologies into its upcoming electric vehicle models.
This initiative aims to meet the expectations of Chinese customers by offering more localized products.
Xiaomi owners will be able to seamlessly use the company’s electronic devices, from tablets to car stereos, in Toyota’s Chinese models, the companies said.
The five-meter-long electric sedan will also be powered by Huawei’s Drive One electric motor and equipped with its digital key, which pairs with Huawei smartphones.
